Ward et al. wanted to dismantle the tedious belief that after six months after stroke there is no further room for functional improvement. They performed a large, single cohort intensive trial that was effective not only for clinically meaningful functional gains pre- versus post-intervention, but also in the long term follow up. In summary, a very inspiring article.
